32″ x 27 1/2″ (framed)
A night with what appears to be fire on the water–intense colors of blistering red filling the horizon sandwiched by the blue of night. These are the evenings that just take your breath away.
16″ x 14 1/2″ (framed)
One of those beautiful evenings where nearly all the colors of the rainbow appear in a sunset, with the intense orange/red signature color being dominant and most impressionable.
Deconstructed-screen printing using Procion dyes on cotton and finished with dense machine stitching.
16″ x 18 1/2″
For months after a particular flight to the midwest I was taken with the compositions I saw from the air. I began making additional compositions using satellite maps as inspiration. This piece is an abstracted take on an aerial composition.
The varied colors of the afternoon as the day transitions from afternoon to night. This time of day, to me, is the most beautiful.
30″ x 26 1/2″ (framed)
The first in a series of prints with varied editions (EV) inspired by studies from aerial views and satellite-mapping compositions.
Dye-painted and screened with dense machine stitching.
16 3/4″ x 31 3/4″ (framed)
A playful take on life. The title reflects a splash of this color and a splash of that color and enjoying the serendipitous outcomes of the blending of colors as they nestle alongside each other.
Hand-dyed with Procion dyes on cotton with dense machine stitching.
16 3/4″ x 31 3/4″
This piece began with a “go with the flow” mentality, that is–go where the colors lead me. What evolved was a converging of waterways denoted by the dense machine stitching.
